The Albuquerque Police Department released bodycam and Ring doorbell video of a fatal police shooting which occurred on April 16.

Authorities say the Ring camera video released shows the suspect, Juan James Cordova, waiving a gun and yelling at officers.
“I have a 45! 45! 45,” Cordova is heard yelling on the video.
APD says the incident began when Cordova’s girlfriend called 911 saying Cordova was violent and threatening to hurt her and others.
Police say Cordova put a gun to his head and told his girlfriend he could take both of them out. He fired the gun, hitting sunglasses on top of his head, sending a bullet into the neighbor’s residence.
Officers arrived at the location and can be heard yelling, “Put your hands up! Drop the weapon!”
APD says they tried to negotiate with Cordova without success. Instead of dropping his gun, he pointed his gun at officers.
They say he did not drop his gun but instead pointed his gun at officers. Officers shot Cordova, who died at the scene. No officers were injured.
